What are Tops Frames?

Add personality to your Pair with hundreds of swappable Top Frames that instantly snap onto your Base Frame. We have tops in unique patterns, bold colors, Sun Tops, and classics!

How Do Top Frames Attach to Base Frames?

The magic is in the magnets. Two invisible, ultra-lightweight magnets (we’re talking < 1 gram), cover the top left and right corners of the frames, firmly attaching the top frame.

How Thick Are Top Frames?

2mm. Our goal is to have our Pair Family seeing 20–20, so our Tops will not obstruct your vision.

How Heavy is a Top Frame?

The weight of a single Top Frame ranges from 2.6 to 3.5 grams, depending on the model. That’s lighter than a teaspoon of sugar! Our Sun Tops will typically add an additional 2–3 grams due to their lenses.

"I am loving The ella and my toppers so far. I was extremely eager to receive my package in the mail, and when I got the notification that it arrived, I dropped everything to run to the mailbox! Excellent Product, Service Pretty Good

"This is my second Pair Eyewear pair of progressive glasses as I immediately returned the first pair of the same prescription, the reason being that even though I joined the Pair+ program 2 days after purchasing the first pair, the only way I could receive the discount was by returning and reordering. That was annoying, but I did it. I’m quite happy with this pair of glasses. I don’t love the app Pair uses to remotely measure PD as it is most likely to be inaccurate if your eyes are not perfectly symmetrical, but when I submitted the PD I received from my optometrist, the lenses came out perfect. The frames are great. I went to an America’s Best local store to try their frames on to figure out which ones I liked best instead of just using the Pair app itself. The biggest issue for me is that Pair does not partner with anyone for adjustments once the frames are received. When I called them, they suggested I go back to my optometrist. Luckily, my optometrist was willing to handle the adjustment and check the fit without charging me even though they had not sold me the glasses. Everyone I spoke to in customer service, which is based overseas, was very kind and tried to be helpful, but like all customer service these days, it took a great deal of calling around, holding, transfers, and getting through “policy” to actually be helped. I will say that is not an anomale in this era in terms of customer service. In the current state of affairs, they were pretty good."
