"Gold flecks really elevate the traditional tortoise shell look. I do find that overall the top frame reflects a lot of light, so it would be nice to have the underlying tortoise design be more matte like my brook frames themselves. That way the gold would stand out more. I think it just bugs me when the whole thing is so shiny, it looks mirrored. This is particularly noticeable when I’m on video or taking photos."
