What are Tops Frames?

Add personality to your Pair with hundreds of swappable Top Frames that instantly snap onto your Base Frame. We have tops in unique patterns, bold colors, Sun Tops, and classics!

How Do Top Frames Attach to Base Frames?

The magic is in the magnets. Two invisible, ultra-lightweight magnets (we’re talking < 1 gram), cover the top left and right corners of the frames, firmly attaching the top frame.

What Are Top Frames Made Out Of?

How Thick Are Top Frames?

2mm. Our goal is to have our Pair Family seeing 20–20, so our Tops will not obstruct your vision.

How Heavy is a Top Frame?

The weight of a single Top Frame ranges from 2.6 to 3.5 grams, depending on the model. That’s lighter than a teaspoon of sugar! Our Sun Tops will typically add an additional 2–3 grams due to their lenses.

"I love my Larkins. Over the years this is my 5th pair of Pair Eyewear I have ordered. I wouldn’t have done so if I wasn’t completely satisfied. Their customer service is great. . They are very caring and take care of problems(not that I’ve had a lot) right away. I am 80 and they are very accommodating to me. "With having toddlers and glasses do not go so well if I have to change from indoors to outdoors. I love I can just add my sunglasses top on and go about my day. They feel great and look great. "I was super excited to receive my order, and overall, I’m very happy with my purchase! The customer service was excellent—they asked questions, communicated well, and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. I had been saving up for these glasses for a while, and they definitely did not disappoint. They look great, and I’m so excited to finally have them! My only small complaint is that the toppers don’t sit completely flush against the frame. When I look down, I can see a slight color difference/gap between the topper and the frame. Other than that, I’m very pleased with my order and the overall experience!"

Only a couple of gripes

"I can see again! I was very skeptical about this process but it was real easy. The best part is I received quality eye glasses for a fraction of what it would cost through normal channels. I really like the TOPS I chose. Sunglasses without the hardware and bulk. I do have two negatives though. 1) the Tops are so thin and light, a small wind blows them off much too easily. I can’t wear them if I’m in a car at speed with the windows down!! 2) There wasn't an option to choose a set of frames to fit my face! I got as close as I could, but the frames are much too narrow. It’s like wearing child glasses!! I even tried to include a note with the correct width, which was obviously overlooked!!"
