What are Tops Frames?

Add personality to your Pair with hundreds of swappable Top Frames that instantly snap onto your Base Frame. We have tops in unique patterns, bold colors, Sun Tops, and classics!

How Do Top Frames Attach to Base Frames?

The magic is in the magnets. Two invisible, ultra-lightweight magnets (we’re talking < 1 gram), cover the top left and right corners of the frames, firmly attaching the top frame.

What Are Top Frames Made Out Of?

Durable, injected-molded plastic.

How Thick Are Top Frames?

2mm. Our goal is to have our Pair Family seeing 20–20, so our Tops will not obstruct your vision.

How Heavy is a Top Frame?

The weight of a single Top Frame ranges from 2.6 to 3.5 grams, depending on the model. That’s lighter than a teaspoon of sugar! Our Sun Tops will typically add an additional 2–3 grams due to their lenses.

"Received my glasses 2 days ago and I couldn’t be happier. My progressive bifocal was perfect. I was a little skeptical about ordering them on line but so glad I did. I love them. I recommend for people who like change

"I was pleasantly surprised as to how accurately they got my prescription correct. I can see beautifully. I really like the glasses though they do fall down my nose a bit. May need to have them adjusted. In the future I plan to purchase only clear glasses for the base. I noticed when I put the magnetic toppers over my glasses I could still see the dark blue rim which on some cases clashed. Overall I recommend these if you like to change your style a lot. They are fun."

Love the frames but the top frames come off easy

"I asked for the Reese for my birthday, but I felt they were a little small for my face. So I returned them and got the Otis. I love the shape and size of the Otis, but the top frames don’t stay on as well as on the Reese. I think it’s because the frames aren’t as flat and there is a little space between the frames and the top frames. I want to love them but I feel like they’re a little bit delicate and it’s too easy to bump off the top frames."

New base color!

"Honestly, I miss the clear blue base… as a surgeon (the one time I don’t wear a topper is during surgery, for fear that “something” happens, and the topper gets knocked into my patient)… and the clear blue coordinated nicely with my blue scrubs. But, then I remembered that at my new surgery center, the scrubs are black, and the blur tortoise shell goes very nicely. Also, love love love my new wood-look topper!"

"I was so excited about trying these. The glasses themselves were fine but the magnetic piece that goes overtop was awful. It doesn’t stay in place and makes the nose piece area look very unusually thick. Glad I only bought one magnetic attachment."
